Bethany Nelson Philipp
Originally from Jackson Mississippi, Bethany received her M.F.A. in Dance from Texas Woman's University where she received the Excellence in Choreography Scholarship Award, was a member of DanceWorks and DanceLab performance groups and was selected to have her work showcased at the American College Dance Festival. Bethany has taught dance for the University of North Texas and Tarrant County College as well as choreographed and performed with Muscle Memory Dance Theatre and Big Rig Dance Collective. Prior to graduate study, she attended the University of Southern Mississippi earning a B.F.A. in Dance Performance and Choreography and spending one very exciting semester in film school.
Bethany recently returned to Jackson, MS to be closer to friends and family. Currently, she is teaching with Ballet Mississippi, performing with the Mississippi Improv Alliance, Duncan Dance, and Front Porch Dance, and (at 30) learning how to break dance.
